Workshop
SCHLAU Düsseldorf
Sexual and Gender Diversity – What Is That Exactly?
13 June 2021, 2–5 p.m.
SCHLAU is an education and anti-discrimination project on gender and sexual identities. In workshops with school classes, adolescents, and young adults, it offers the opportunity to talk to young lesbian, gay, bisexual and pansexual, trans, non-binary, aromantic, asexual, and queer people. Using pedagogical methods and evaluated concepts from anti-discrimination and human rights work, it introduces these subjects in an accessible and relaxed manner, spreads knowledge, and encourages an active exchange. Various life circumstances and biographies, individual coming-out stories, experiences of discrimination, as well as prejudices and role models are discussed.
During the workshop as part of the exhibition Journey Through A Body, SCHLAU will engage in a dialogue with the participants. Together we will look for solutions for a non-discriminatory world in which everyone can be themselves without fear.
Prior registration is required for all events:
