For children from 6 to 13 years
The artist Tschabalala Self has painted two huge hands on a wall of the Kunsthalle. The hands are touching and intertwined.
Our hands are an important part of the body, we use them as tools, to feel and sense and also to touch others. Especially in the pandemic period, however, we had to change our habits, because shaking hands is avoided.
In the workshop we want to take a journey through the body and explore our hands. How different are our hands and what do they say about us? Hands can also become signs, such as through certain gestures, sign language or shadow theatre. A current example is Leon Goretzka, who made a heart with his hands in the football match between Germany and Hungary as a sign of tolerance towards all forms of love. Let your hands speak and create a collage.
