An Attempt at Planetary Feminism
17. Juli 2021, 6–7:30 p.m.
In this lecture, feminism is conceived as a planetary method, as the positing of a caring relationship with the world; this includes both social relations and relations with mate- riality, other species, and nature-cultures. The aim is to broaden feminism beyond the struggle for equal rights for the subject “woman”, while seeking out entanglements between patriarchy, capitalism, colonialism, and extractivism. Updated ecofeminist approaches are conceived in connection with approaches from speculative materialism, decolonial feminism, and struggles for social welfare and a post-growth society—for “more- than-human worlds.”
