Kobayashi Issa (1763–1828)
The concert “Two Half-Moons” on the occasion of the exhibition “tomodachi to” presents works by German and Japanese composers. Similar to the haiku by the Japanese poet Issa, it is about a space of working together, alongside, or even against one another. It is about creating an open space by attempting to creatively experience it through listening, with works by Seiji Inagaki, Yoko Ono, Takuro Shibayama, Mieko Shiomi, Kunsu Shim, Oliver Schneller, Gerhard Stäbler, Yuji Takahashi, and Yasuko Yamaguchi, all of which make references to the culture here as well as in the Far East.
