On the occasion of Sigmar Polke's 81st birthday, students of the Heinrich Heine University will be giving a guided tour of the current exhibition “ Productive Image Interference. Sigmar Polke and artistic perspectives today”. In front of selected works, the students engage in a dialogue about image disturbance as an interface between aesthetics and danger. What role do colour and materiality play? How can the representation of violence and its documentation be viewed critically?
The guided tour is a result of the cooperation between with the Master's programme “Art Education and Cultural Management” of the Heinrich Heine University and the Anna Polke Foundation.
