Benrath Palace not only comprises five buildings where people dined, celebrated and worked, but also the surrounding area: the private gardens of the electoral couple served as an extension of the living space for pleasure strolling and as an expression of courtly representation. The tour through the private gardens, the Fächerallee and the kitchen garden provide an insight into the idea of Benrath Palace as a summer residence in the countryside. This tour is particularly suitable in spring and summer, when the colorful flowerbeds invite you to linger.
