The publication NORMCORE is part of the series of works of the same name, which examines sculptural and sociologically biofidel crash test dummies. The PRIMUS breakable dummy developed by CTS reproduces the physical properties, proportions and mobility of an average male body, thus enabling the comparison of accident-related injuries. The book documents Riesenbeck’s artistic research, his collaboration with ‘CTS dummy-solutions’ and the resulting exhibition situations. It is supplemented by a dialogue with Swedish engineer Dr. Astrid Linder, who researches female dummies, among other things. As a guest in the Nachtfoyer, she will provide insights into her work and discuss with the artist how art and science can engage in dialogue.
The evening discussion will take place with Dr Astrid Linder (engineer) and George Popov (designer).
