For the ninth time, Plattform Wiesencafé invites you to the Apple Festival, a day full of shared activities, creativity, and enjoyment. As every year, the Haus Bürgel Biological Station will bring a large selection of apple varieties from the Rhine meadows of the Urdenbacher Kämpe. Juice will be pressed, apple pie baked, and pumpkin soup cooked on site.
In 2025, the Apple Festival will be part of the exhibition Where to? Art Gallery / City / Society of the Future and will be dedicated to the creative future of the platform. Children, young people, and local residents will develop ideas and designs for the painted walls around the Wiesencafé – in response to changes in the environment and with a view to the collaborative, respectful redesign of the location.
They are supported by artists, students, and craftsmen who contribute their experience and accompany creative processes. The interplay of art, building culture, and neighborhood creates a place that shows how joint planning and design can shape the future – openly, vibrantly, and collaboratively.
