How can we imagine and shape the future together? And what does a good life mean – for people, animals, plants, and the environment?
In this workshop, the Rhenish Section of the Compostist International (represented by Christiane König, Evamaria Schaller, Fiona Schrading, and Ian Boes) invites participants to explore questions of the future, living together, and responsibility. At its core is the idea of understanding utopias not as distant goals, but as something we can collectively create and practice in the present.
In connection with the exhibition Ecologies in Motion, we will reflect on the relationship between nature, culture, and urban life from a queer-feminist perspective. Together, we will consider how we can respond to social and ecological crises and imagine new ways of living together.
Through an open writing workshop, we will collect thoughts, experiences, hopes, and wishes. Using creative and experimental writing methods, participants will develop texts, ideas, and visions for the future. No previous experience is required – everyone is warmly welcome.
We invite you to bring something that is meaningful to you in relation to the idea of “the future.” This can be a physical object, a photograph, or another material, but it can also be something intangible, such as a memory, a story, or an idea that you would like to share with the group.
