A whole summer day filled with art, music, encounters, and time spent together: On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, the Bookstore Walther König, the Kunstverein der Rheinlande und Westfalen and the Salon des Amateurs invites you to its summer festival. As part of “Work in Progress,” the Kunsthalle will serve as an open gathering place for art lovers, friends, and families from 11 am to 10 pm.
In addition to guided tours of the exhibition, there will be a creative workshop, a book flea market, music, drinks, and light refreshments. In the evening, “Celebrating! Joëlle Dubois” invites you to celebrate the completion of Joëlle Dubois’s wall installation with a performance by BUNNY FRANCIS and a concert by Pink Gloves.

Celebrating! Joëlle Dubois
Starting at 6.30 pm: Performance by BUNNY FRANCIS. HUNGRY GHOSTS
Nina van denbempt is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist with a mild obsession with the discomfort of being human. She mainly uses painting, performing and sound as a medium today.
Nina will be coming to Kunsthalle Düsseldorf with a new performance, this time as Bunny Francis.
Inspired by Joëlle Dubois’ murals, she dives into her sexuality — or the lack thereof. After becoming a (single) mom, she performs a ritual to become slutty again. Or is that even what she wants to be? Or will that just be a continuation of being a hungry hungry ghost?
Starting at 8 pm: Concert by Pink Gloves
Pink Gloves is an experimental electronic r&b Punk band. This performing duo will take you on a musical rollercoastertrip. They will challenge your expectations and fulfil your desires. They invite you to dance, shout, move and connect.
