Pascal Schwendener. White Lie

For the MUR BRUT gallery, a series of artists are being invited to each create a work on one wall of the underground car park at Grabbeplatz 4. Düsseldorf-based painter Pascal Schwendener has kicked off the project with his piece White Lie. The artist picks up on pre-existing design elements of the car park and shatters them apart in his composition, with their visual arrangement determined by a combination of chance and method. Over the course of four months, Schwendener will return to the scene again and again to transform the white wall gradually into a blue wall, through a process he has developed himself.



Pascal Schwendener studied Painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, graduating in 2013 from Peter Doig’s master class. www.​pascalschwendener.​de
