Alexander Romey. Driving the periphery
MUR BRUT 10

MUR BRUT 12: Alexander Romey “Driving the Periphery”, Photo: Katja Illner

For MUR BRUT Alexander Romey developed a multi-piece work in the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf’s parking facility. Along with two photographs,
the installed architecture and exhibition flyer function as teasers for the exhibition and open up different spaces for discussion and interrogation.

Images from a variety of photographic genres are connected to a narration to the extent that the border between reality and imaginatin becomes ever more diffuse.

Central aspects of photographic practice such as perception, objectivity and temporality become the objects of the exhibition.

Alexander Romey studies under Andreas Gursky at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.

Opening: Wednesday, 12th July, 7.30 p.m.

Kunsthalle Düsseldorf parking garage, Grabbeplatz 4, 40213 Düsseldorf

The installation is open 24/7.

Please find here the catalogue of the exhibition.
